Master Eagle Hunter

$1,250.00$6,500.00

Sixty-year-old master eagle hunter Khairatkhan trains his golden eagle in the Altai mountains of western Mongolia. Following the Kazakh tradition of hunting with eagles, Khairatkhan has had 15 eagles in his life so far, and has released 8 back into the wild. “It’s so difficult to release them,” says Khairatkhan. “The eagle is a member of my family, raised with my children. In winter time the eagle lives inside my home. I feel very bad and sad when I release the eagle.”
