Mosul Mosque Sunset


The city of Mosul from inside a minaret pocked with bullet holes at an abandoned mosque in a recently liberated West Mosul neighbourhood. Smoke billows in the background as a group of ISIS fighters, disguised as members of the Popular Mobilization Forces, launched a counter attack in a nearby neighbourhood, setting fire to houses and causing thousands of civilians to flee in fear of a resurgence of the terror group, June 25, 2017.
