Sinai Photography and Hiking Expedition
A Week in Egypt’s Desert Mountains and Red Sea Coast
December 2026
A journey through silence, starlight, and ancient mountain trails.
Join me for a week-long journey across Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula, a landscape of vast desert mountains, Bedouin traditions, pristine seas, and extraordinary light.
This expedition brings together slow travel, immersive hiking, cultural storytelling, and hands-on photography guidance. Beginning and ending in Dahab, we move deep into the mountains, canyons, and desert, spending most of the journey on foot, hiking between remote locations and camping beneath the stars. Each day balances time on the trail with space to slow down, photograph, and take in the landscape.
As we head into the mountains, we follow age-old Bedouin paths, guided by local experts from Sinai Hikes and supported by camels as we travel deeper into the desert. Nights are spent beneath a vast, starlit sky, far from the noise of modern life.
One of the defining moments of the journey is the ascent of Mount Sinai, reaching the summit in time for sunset as light falls across an endless expanse of desert peaks. We also spend time at Saint Catherine’s Monastery, one of the oldest functioning monasteries in the world, exploring its ancient gardens and the layers of history held within its walls.
The journey begins and concludes along the Red Sea coast, with time to photograph and unwind in Dahab, where the mountains meet the water in one of Sinai’s most peaceful and visually striking settings.
Whether you are a photographer or simply looking to reconnect with nature, this experience offers an intimate encounter with the landscapes, people, and enduring culture of Sinai.
This trip is offered in partnership with Sinai Hikes.
